- When direct control of bottoms flow rate is used, the flow of steam is adjusted by the reboiler level controller.
- The second scheme has reverse arrangment, the composition controller regulates flow of steam and level controller adjusts bottoms flow.
- In both the cases Reflux is at constant rate, adjusted by reflux drum level controller.
