- They are 2-D x-ray exposure taken of cranium.
- They might be used to indicate fractures in cranial bones & tumors.
- The problem with it is difficulty in reading exposures.
- Only when contrast is high, indicates relatively large tissue density difference, positive diagnosis can be made.
