Flapper Magnetic Level Indicator Principle

The magnetic level indicator has been designed as an alternative to the ice level indicator. It is commonly used in industry because it avoids direct contact with the measuring system. Its use eliminates the glass requirements of direct level indicators.

magnetic level indicator

Magnetic level indicators with vertical, horizontal and lateral mounting with two types of indicator systems: swivel flaps and two-color balls. The magnetic level indicator is composed of a floating chamber, a float and an indicator system.

The magnetic level indicator operates according to the magnetic field coupling principle to provide fluid level information. The floating chamber is made of non-magnetic tubes whose connections are similar to those of a ship. The size of the float is determined by the fluid, the pressure, the temperature and the gravity of the fluid used. The float contains magnets to provide from 0 a magnetic flux field 360.

Flapper

The indicator system consists of multicolored balls equipped with magnets mounted on rails in a housing. When the level begins to rise or fall, the magnetic float also moves with the level of the liquid in the non-magnetic chamber. This magnetic interaction between the magnets in the float and the multicolored balls causes a rotation of the balls from 0 to 180.
