To connect an Active Loop to the input of an isolator, this input stage needs to be Passive and the input burden or load needs to be small enough so it does not overload the loop.
The requirement for the output stage is the same, it must be Passive as the loop is already Active and the connected circuit loading needs to be small enough not to compromise the device’s compliance voltage.
