My motor of crompton greves (7.5kw, 2850 rpm, current in delta:10 amps, 3 phase induction motor) has been rewinded. That motor is used for pumping slurries in distillery.
However , since the winding was burnt off, i have re winded the motor. Without load the current consumption is 3 amps but with load the current consumption is going at 20 to 30 amps which is overloaded.
Checked the bearing , it was okay. checked the ir value of windings and found it was normal(i.e it is more than 70Mega Ohms). I dont know why so much current is being drawn by the motor while in load. THE PUMP SECTION IS ALSO FREE
