Reset To Defaults

Some instruments have a menu option that returns all of its settings back to their factory defaults.

Alternatively, the product manual may list the default values which the user can choose to enter into the configuration. Resetting should be used with great care, as the action cannot be undone. It is advisable to record the current settings before proceeding with a reset.

Following the reset, the instrument will have to be re-configured to match the needs of the application.
