Rosemount Radar 5300 Calibration

I would like to know if this is a good practice.

when calibrating Rosemount Radar 5300 Transmitter, a guided wave TX on a Scrubber for gas compressor, is it suitable to use water as a medium to calibrate a transmitter that will be used to measure condensate or crude?

Would the DC be affected and cause erratic/false readings?

Yes, definitely the level readings will be affected.

You can use the condensate for the LT calibration.
