Magnetic level indicators are primarily designed as an alternative to the glass level indicator. Magnetic level indicators are commonly used in industries because they avoid direct contact with the indicator system: it eliminates the need for glass for direct level indications and prevents the waste caused by glass breakage.

Magnetic level indicators, with vertical mounting (horizontal, lateral) with two types of swivel indicator system, and two-color balls. The magnetic level indicator is composed of a floating chamber, a float and an indicator system.

The magnetic level indicator operates on the principle of coupling the magnetic field to provide information on the liquid level. The floating chamber is constructed with non-magnetic pipes that have connections that correspond to the vessel connections. The size of the float is determined by the fluid, the pressure, the temperature and the gravity of the fluid used. The float contains magnets to provide from 0 a magnetic flux field 360.

The indicator system consists of pivoting flaps placed in the glass tube in the housing.

When the level begins to rise or fall, the magnetic float also moves with the liquid level in the non-magnetic chamber.
