Valve Sizing and Calculation

  • Valve Flow calculation is recommended to use ISA 75.01.01

  • Recommended sizing is such that they are approximately less 80 % open capacity when operating under maximum flow conditions and greater than 10% open at minimum flow conditions

  • Rangeability recommended for valve is to be 20:1

  • Generally permitted noise level for valve is 85db as per ISA 75.17 (Control Valve Aerodynamic noise prediction) or IEC 60534 -8-3/60534-8-4

  • Source treatment for Noise reduction is recommended than path treatment
