What are sensory nerves, motor nerves and mixed nerves?

The nerves that carry the information gathered by the sensory organs to the brain are called sensory nerves. They serve as message carriers for the brain.

Motor nerves carry back the orders from the brain to the muscles and glands.

Mixed nerves perform the function of the both sensory and motor nerves.
