How to Set IP Address in New Allen Bradley Micro 820 PLC ?

  1. New “out of box” Micro820 PLC has IP address in the 169.254.xxx.xxx range with a Subnet of 255.255.0.0 .

  2. Set your PC’s IP address to within the same range as the Micro820 has been assigned, such as 169.254.0.0 and also PC’s Subnet mask to 255.255.0.0.

  3. Now, you can see PLC Controller through RSLinx.

  4. Then change your PLC’s IP address as you want to configure.
