Working principle of boiler

Working principle of boiler:

  1. At first the compressed air and gas is supplied to the combustor. After combustion hot flames and flue gases are produced at a large amount.

  2. These hot flue gases pass through the water tubes. Hence heat is exchanged between the hot gas and water.

  3. Then water starts to convert into saturated steam and goes to boiler drum.

  4. Then water comes down from boiler drum and converts into steam gradually. This process is done by natural circulation.

  5. Then the saturated steam passes through the super heater box and becomes super heated.

  6. This super heated steam is used to rotate the steam turbine at steam power plant.
